Anchor- Rip Currents

By Linda Sherwin / November 25, 2018

Wouldn’t it be great if as soon as you walked into a room, a sign appeared telling you exactly what to expect?

You would know where to go, what to avoid, whether it was a warm, friendly place or not.

That way you could call upon the perfect character to be for that event. You would know whether to be carefree and friendly or more professional and business-like. You would know to avoid that area to the right where everyone is quite agitated, and it could become quite threatening. You would know that the group at the center is very calm and great potential clients for you.

While it may happen at the beach, it doesn’t happen elsewhere in life! You walk in and have to be the best YOU that you can be – immediately!

But . . . . . you can be prepared! The next step in the four-step process is ANCHOR. That means using a technique to be able to become the needed character – in an instant!

Through a simple recall process, you can use the memory of the character you were on a particular occasion and re-create it and BE that person immediately!

An excerpt from my book: “Theorists argue whether cellular memory is real or not. However, the advocates insist that we maintain information on all levels of our being – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Whether true or not, we do have the ability to remember complete details of specific events, our response and we can use that to our advantage.”

This “sense memory” provides all the physical sensations of the event allowing you to re-live it in its entirety.

Then, you find your “anchor” – a word, an object or a gesture that intuitively conveys that moment to you. And BAM – you ARE that person!

So, be mindful of the beach signs but prepare yourself to be the best YOU that you can be – anytime!
