Duplicate – Stormy Days

By Linda Sherwin / January 20, 2019

Initially, more often than not, you might find yourself in a total whirlwind! Hurricane force! I just want you to be aware of that right up front!

You might have walked into a situation and have no idea which character would work best. Your mind will start racing, your heart will be pounding, and your palms will be sweating! And you have no idea what to do!

The first thing to remember is to stay calm! You’ve been in these situations before and survived, but now you have some new information, a new technique and you are anxious to try it!

The best advice if you are not sure – do LESS rather than more!

Breathe! Breathe! Breathe!

Listen and observe what is happening. Do the simplest of reactions to not escalate the situation. Use your new powers of observation to work through it as best you can.

When it’s over, use the “Duplicate” template included in the Workbooks to review what happened and note what you might have done differently. Then, work through the process and identify the best character you could have used. This way you will be prepared the next time you find yourself in a similar situation.

Just like the weather, occasional communication whirlwinds will happen! Your response to it, and what you learn from it, will make it all worthwhile!

To Being Heard,
Linda
